THINGS OF INTEREST and Artist opportunities
VERGE GALLERY SYDNEY
Callout for exhibition and event proposals and zine submissions
Verge Gallery is a not for profit space provided by the University of Sydney Union. Situated on University of Sydney’s Darlington campus, Verge engages with a wealth of creative academic thinking and dialogue through a diverse exhibition calendar and extensive public programs.
Verge Gallery is currently seeking submissions from artists, curators and creative thinkers to take part in their 2015 gallery program. This is the first time that Verge Gallery has launched a formal public callout for expressions of interest; providing an opportunity to exhibit, or hold creative public events (workshops, talks, screenings) in this unique, centrally located gallery space.
Exhibition proposals and event proposals are encouraged, with a particular focus on events and exhibitions that will engage with the University of Sydney student body and the local community.
Expression of interest forms are online:
Deadline for applications is 12 midnight, Sunday October 26.
In addition to a callout for exhibitions and events in 2015, Verge Gallery is also seeking submissions from zine-makers to have their publications stocked Verge Gallery’s soon to be launched Zine Library. The library aims to provide a space to promote zines and a ‘Do it yourself’ ethos of individuality and creative expression. Verge Gallery plans to host zine making workshops and other events in conjunction with this new space.
Submission forms are online: http://verge-gallery.net/zine-library/
