 After 13years Damien Minton Gallery an  institution in Sydney is closing their doors, with only a few shows left, get down there and support them.

It is sad times when great galleries cannot keep their doors open. Good luck for the future Damien and thankyou!

The John Fries Award is an annual non-acquisitive award of $10,000 open to emerging and early career artists of all ages and disciplines, who are Australian and New Zealand citizens or residents. For more information on the John Fries Award please see
The John Fries Award is now seeking expressions of interest for the role of Guest Curator for 2015.
The Guest Curator leads the curatorial process, and is key in maintaining the standard, quality and best practice principles of the John Fries Award. The role includes developing networks with artists and art professionals; working closely with artists in the finalist exhibition; participating in the judging panel; contributing to marketing and communication strategies; curating and exhibition planning, installing, catalogue production and event programming.
The John Fries Award is administered by Copyright Agency|Viscopy. The Guest Curator works directly with Copyright Agency|Viscopy staff to ensure effective management and delivery of the Award. The Guest Curator is paid a stipend of $5000.
