2012 Moran Contemporary Photographic Prize closes for entries

The theme of the 2012 Photographic Prize is; Contemporary Life in
Australia, Australians going about their day to day lives.
The selection of finalists and awarding of prizes will be determined
by Graham Howe the Founder and CEO of Curatorial Assistance, Los
$100,000 First Prize
$10,000 in Highly Commended awards (5 x $2,000)

The 2012 Tiny Stadiums Festival shifts how people navigate the heart
and peripheries of Erskineville.

A mix of performance, visual arts,
installation and sound art, the Tiny Stadiums festival infiltrates
streets of Erskineville, intersecting the familiar pedestrian routes
and paths of regular weekend activity with a cross section of live
art. Tiny Stadiums presents brave new works that explores big ideas
little Erskineville.

Express yourself with any kind of artwork and we’ll exhibit them at
the TAP gallery on the event day! It can be illustrations, photos,
paintings, writings, scrapbookings, etc as long as they can be
display on the wall. There’s no age limitation.
All the received artworks will be put exhibition on the 2nd June
2012 at the
@ TAP gallery with Creative Lane art and craft festival.

Selected artworks will be shown on our blog and facebook page as
well as published in our digital Creative Lane Magazine!
The Creative Wall Exhibition is free for public to participate, as

2012 John Fries Memorial Prize for emerging visual artists
Entries Closing June 4 – 2012 John Fries Memorial Prize for emerging
visual artists

$10,000 annual non-acquisitive award open to Australia or New
Zealand artists of all ages and disciplines, who are not enrolled as
students and whose work is not held in the collection of a state,
territory or national public art gallery.
The competition is administered by Viscopy. The winner will be
announced at the opening of the exhibition on August 14. The
finalists’ exhibition is curated by Venita Poblocki. The prize will
be judged by Wayne Tunnicliffe, Head Curator of Australian Art at
the Art Gallery of NSW and artists, Bronwyn Bancroft and Kath Fries.
Entries close 4th June, 5pm. Finalists’ exhibition at Gaffa
Galleries Sydney 11 Aug – 1 Sept.
