This new collection of large scale ‘history paintings’ challenges the viewer to
contemplate a range of topics, from animal rights in China to the tragedy at
Christmas Island. Joel’s work is held in private collections both nationally and internationally.

Volunteer Position Available Assistant Editor

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic person who is interested
in publishing critical writing on contemporary visual arts. A unique and
valuable opportunity to get into independent arts media and gain experience
in the contemporary art field. The successful applicant will have
excellent administration skills,
be reliable and good with people,
have a good understanding of internet culture (blogs, facebook etc) and
a passion for contemporary art.
The role will take around 4 hours/wk and will mostly be done online and over
the phone. You will be working closely with the Editor and rest of the Das team.
You will mostly work from home.

Thinking of holding a group or solo show in 2011? Think ESP Gallery!
We have a centrally located gallery in the latest art hot spot Marrickville,
with 4 rooms available for individual or group hire. Professional hanging system,
plinths and multi media equipment available.
ESP Gallery is an artist run initiative supported by Marrickville Council.
Our costs are low as all team members are volunteers, giving their time freely for
the love of art. Exhibiiting artists are asked to contribute as volunteers so
that ESP can continue to offer its services to the artists of Sydney.

Opening hours Thurs/Fri 3-6pm, Sat/Sun 11am-4pm.
